Lil Pidge working title

Concept: Humanity has fallen,  all the animals in the city are fleeing due to the humans hunting them down for food.  Lil Pidge (Player Character) is little pigeon who hasnt learnt to fly yet, his flock took off in flight when they saw humans coming towards them. Lil Pidge is un-able to fly yet, so he must adventure out on foot.  Animals are starting to mutate and change into monstrocitys of there formare selves.  What adversity will he face on his way to meet hsi family? 

Genre: 2D Platformer , I like the idea of a Platformer, due to the games i played as a child. Some of the games ive had the most fun with in a single player format are platformers like  Super Mario Bros, Hollow Knight and Cuphead. 

Target Audience: I want to target a wide audience age, from young to old.  I feel children would be interested in it due to the Main Character being a pigeon and the colour visuals of the enviroments. The nostalgia of 2D Platformers will attract an older audience, timed levels for the more speed runner minded players.  Platformers have always had a place in peoples hearts. 

Features : Unlockable abilties after defeating bosses and moving through stages. Challenging bosses.  Character Outfit unlocks by completing challenges and time trials.
